The center’s reading groups meet regularly to discuss the thoughts and writings of specific authors. Essential concepts come alive in this environment, so you can connect directly with the author's inspirations and character.
Think of it as a self-discovery book club that attracts serious individuals from around greater Boston. There is nothing like an enthusiastic group to foster appreciation for some of our culture's most important spiritual philosophers. Our current reading groups include:
- Ralph Waldo Emerson, Western Idealist: Meets second and fourth Monday of the month. Reawaken your natural intelligence and enthusiasm for life by looking at the essays and speeches of America's preeminent philosopher, known as the Sage of Concord.
- Eckhart Tolle, A New Earth: This study group meets the third Tuesday of the month this fall, at 7 p.m. Discussion will focus on Tolle's book A New Earth.
- Yoga Sutra Study: This Sunday evening class looks in depth at the meaning of the words in the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali.
