The center’s reading groups meet regularly to discuss the thoughts and writings of specific authors. Essential concepts come alive in this environment, so you can connect directly with the author's inspirations and character.
Think of it as a self-discovery book club that attracts serious individuals from around greater Boston. There is nothing like an enthusiastic group to foster appreciation for some of our culture's most important spiritual philosophers. Our current reading groups include:
- Ralph Waldo Emerson, Western Idealist: Reawaken your natural intelligence and enthusiasm for life by looking at the essays and speeches of America's preeminent philosopher, known as the Sage of Concord.
- Sri Ramana Maharshi: The Boston Ramana Maharshi Satsanga meets once a month on Saturday from 11:00 to 1:00 and is open to all. Our meetings consist of reading of texts by and about Shri Ramana Maharshi, silent meditation, and chanting, and conclude with lunch.
